Convince yourself to be healthy!

The Mind Game of Health


Is losing weight and/or being healthy really that difficult? Well, everyone knows how to lose weight or/and be healthy, its not rocket science, yet very few it seems tend to reach their goals. Here,  I will discuss here the mindset that is required to be healthy and/or lose weight.

Remind yourself why 

It is important that you remind yourself all the time why it is important to be healthy. Whenever you have low motivation, or whenever you might be having doubts, remind yourself why its important to be healthy, be strong, have good mood, and be around for the people you love. Remind yourself how the benefits of health go beyond just cosmetics, and can actually help you achieve all your dreams! The benefits in terms of energy,  positivism and the learning one can experience from the health journey itself, will make you a much stronger person. All this will ensure you keep health a priority.

Convince yourself that its possible
Most people have serious doubts about being able to lose weight. I can tell you by my own experience as well as those around me that the biggest impediment may be this very kind of negative thinking. You must always 'know that you can do it and its possible'. Even if you are having a bad day, even if you missed the gym for the past 3 months, even if you just had a whole pizza, you must always remember that 'it is possible'. Only when you know that it is possible, will you get up and start finding ways, making your plans and in general make things happen.

A fail is only a blip in the journey
Had too much  to eat last night? could not resist that muffin? was not able to walk 1 mile? Does not matter. Do not let failures and setbacks let you down. No one is perfect and no one has to be perfect. If you could not stick to your plan for a month, does not matter, start again. Start again from somewhere. Were you too busy to eat healthy at home, does not matter, if you are not busy anymore, start again. As long as you know that failures are just blips, you simply start again. In the long run, it will all average out


Its a life long Journey that starts with a step

Health is a long journey and like any journey, you first have to start. It may be small steps, but you must start. No matter how small the steps you take or how insignificant they may seem, you will surely be heading in the right direction.


Also, the journey is not small. Its not just two steps. You stick to it for the long run and not just for a month. Everything takes time and nothing is immediate. Sticking to it is half the battle. It helps you to come back if you fall off and it ensures that you do not give up too early.Nothing is instant and health is the same. It will take time and you stay on that journey for life.

Conclusion:
Stay positive! all the above ideas are at the heart of it all about remaining positive. As long as you convince yourself that you need to and you can, you will surely be headed in the right direction. It will take time and there will be failures in process, but you stick to it, ensure its important for you, and you will surely be surely on your way to the wonderful journey of health.
